This is a beginners guide to get you started using your Overrun blog.
First you'll need to drag all the Setup links to your toolbar, if you haven't done so. Simply left-click and hold down your mouse button and drag each link to a convenient spot on your toolbar, and release the mouse button. To reduce to the clutter of all those links, you might want to create a folder on your toolbar to drop them in.
The function of those links are as follows:
*Blog it -
This link is comparable to Stumbleupons' "I Like it" button. Whenever you land on a website that you like and want to blog, you select this link, and you will be taken to your blog page. At this point, you'll see the website has been entered on your blog along with the date and time. You can leave it at that, or if you wish you write a review, or set a tag, look to the right of the timestamp bar and you'll see "review" and "delete" links. Assuming you don't wish to delete it, click "review" and get a textbox for your review. Below that is a smaller box for your tags.
*Home -
Takes you to your blog page. Please notice the link for it in your address bar. It is the exact same link we all use to reach our logged-in blog page. Some people, trying to enter their blogs into the system to be "Staggered" by others, are doing so from this link, but doing so means other members will only stagger their own blogs, instead of the original users' blog who entered it. To enter your blog to be staggered, you must first load the link to your page from the Overrun list of members. Those links are different, so select your name from that list, and then "Blog it". You'll know the difference when you see an "Add as a Friend" link on your blog.
*Send it -
This link is similar To SUs' "Send To" feature. While on a page you wish to send to another member, click this link and you'll get a textbox to write a message to send along with the link.
*Check queue -
This is where you'll find the websites and messages that other members send to you. When you receive one, the "Queue" link at the top of your page will change to show the number of sites sent and waiting for you to view. If you click the Queue link at the top of your page you see the complete list of sites received, and can selectively chose which to view.
However, if you click the "Check Queue" link on your toolbar, the webpages will load in your browser in the order received, one page per click. When loaded in this manner, the page will be framed, with the top frame showing who sent it, their message, and links to "reply", "forward" (to another member), and "Blog it". Presently, this is the only form of private messaging available at the moment.
*Stagger -
This is similar to SUs' "Stumble" button. Click it, get a new website.
*Photoblog -
This is a little different from SUs' feature in that you don't immediately select the image. While on a page, clicking that link will bring up a new page with a number of images from the page you were on. From there, you click on the image you want and it will automatically be entered onto your blog. You can then click "review" to add text, or tweak the code.
